Celebrate Women With Us!

In celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day tomorrow, we want to take a moment to recognize one of the pillars of the TCB team: Our status as a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the state of Pennsylvania.

Our SBA WOSB accreditation allows us to benefit from specifically allocated federal contracting opportunities aimed at leveling the playing field.

In addition, our WBENC certification provides us with access to supplier diversity and procurement executives at hundreds of major U.S. corporations and government entities at every level.

“Having worked in the Promotional Products industry now for 3 years, I realize what an advantage we have being a nationally Certified Women Owned business,” stated our Director of Sales, Erin Gallagher, TAS.

“This certification has opened doors for us to work with organizations that are committed to working with diverse companies, including women-owned.”

“This allows us to spread the love by identifying and working with other women-owned business. It’s a win, win, win!”

But, perhaps the benefit we value most is our ability to be a part of and support a community of like-minded professionals, all dedicated to the growth and success of minority-owned businesses.

“Being at TCB now is my first experience working somewhere that has held any importance over being women-owned,” shared Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Hannah Gallagher, CAS. “Much of that can be attributed to our official WBENC certification, but these are topics that have never been discussed anywhere I worked previously.”

“Diversity in general is never discussed. It is preached but rarely is it truly carried out. TCB works hard to maintain this element of the business.”

“Our certification helps open many doors that would otherwise be closed. It has been rewarding to work at a place where being a powerful woman is encouraged.”

The truth, at the end of the day, is that being a woman in our society is hard. And in the professional world, it can be even harder. This is why creating a space dedicated to empowerment is incredibly important to us.

“Female roles portrayed on TV and the media gave me the framework I lacked in my personal life, so you could say my identity as a professional woman started from the ground up,” reflected Sales Administrative Assistant, Elizabeth Streczyk.

“I know I have accomplished more in my professional life than any other woman in my family.”

“I’ve typically steered toward female-dominated professional roles until it became clear the requirement of these roles lay heavily on emotional intelligence, subjecting me to long term burnout.”

“I’m happy to have the choice to pivot out of one industry and into another, such as my current role at TCB Promotions.”

“Gender equality also plays a big part in my ethos; I believe everyone should be aspiring to the best of their abilities and receiving fair and equal treatment in the process.”

Regardless of your gender identity, we ask that you join us in reflecting on what it means to be a woman in today’s society and recognizing the achievements of women around the world, both past and present.
